2023 Jurassic Park Chenin Blanc

Vineyards: From the famous X2 block at Jurassic Park, these own-rooted vines were planted in 1978 on sandy limestone soils in the coastal Santa Ynez Valley.

Winemaking: The grapes went directly to press and the juice was fermented with native yeast in neutral 500L oak puncheons, underwent full ML fermentation and was aged for 11 months on lees. The wine was bottled unfined & unfiltered with minimal SO2.

Notes: Full throttle Chenin, with texture, acidity and a touch of wildness. Nimble and light on its feet, but there is no shyness here. The layers of flavor and complexity that often have to be teased and coaxed out of early picked Chenin Blanc are jumping out of the glass and demanding your attention. Fun, rebellious and delicious.
